After a fun filled holiday weekend, I'm feeling fairly refreshed and ready to tackle July! Well, mostly. See, July is going to be a particularly intense month for me at work. I've been preparing mentally for several months now, but things are about to get heavy. And, honestly, with all the extra hours that I foresee having to spend dedicated to work-related activities, my project completion forecast is about as accurate as the weatherman.

I did manage to start my July sweater knitting; it's a lace weight project on US size2 needles. It may seem like adding insult to injury; maybe it is. But, a woman, much wiser than me, has a different take on the situation... that's my working premise regarding my motivations on this project. I'm just going to keep knitting. We'll see where I stand at the end of the month.

I can't imagine knitting a sweater yet, let alone on size 2 needles, but it looks great so far! It's no fun when work takes over your life for a bit; hopefully the time you find to knit this month will relax you from the work stresses.

Oh, I can't imagine knitting an entire laceweight sweater, good on you! I'm getting sick of a 4 ply t-shirt! Looks like it will be utterly gorgeous to wear though ;)

GAH! I'm wining about a lace weight scarf and you've taken to knitting an entire sweater?? Wow. That puts things in perspective!

Looks beautiful! I've been thinking of starting a sweater on tiny needles... I can't figure out if I'll regret it or not :)

Best of luck making it through work this month!!!

The sweater looks like it'll be lovely to wear. Perhaps working it up will be a nice little escape for you -- or a reward when all is said and done. :)

I love the sweater. Every time I knit one on tiny needles I think I've lost my mind but they always work up so beautiful. Good luck with work this month!

That is going to be a lovely sweater. With a stressful job, you can de-stress with the stockinette stitch. Good luck.
