Welcome to giveaway day #2! Up for grabs is a skein of wonderful, glorious, fantastic Madelinetosh Sock yarn in Oxblood ...I think it looks a lot more like berry sorbet than oxblood... but, what do I know? And, because I'm sure whoever wins won't want to wait to cast-on, this giveaway comes with the winner's choice of one sock pattern from CookieA's Ravelry Shop!

I need to knit myself some socks, ma'am. It's too hot to finish knitting the sweater I started last fall, but socks speak my language. (It's the language of short attention spans.)

I knit socks all of the time and would love a chance to work with Madelinetosh. And great idea about giving away things during your birthday week!

Sorry for the duplicate post. I didn't read the rules the first time. And if I had, I'd have realized you mentioned my birthday, the fourth of July, and so of course, I should win the prize. :-) And I've not had the chance to own Madeline Tosh before, but it looks lovely.

I would use the yarn to knit socks - though perhaps not the CookieA pattern from the shop as what I'm coveting most in the Ravelry shop is Rhiannon and that is a knee high patterns... Maybe Pointelle from Knit. Sock. Love...

Thanks for a great give away! Happy Birthday to you! Have a great one. I love madeline tosh yarn and I love hand knitted socks. People think I am crazy for making them but I wear them instead of slippers. And it is Winter here now,(Australia) so it is time for socks.

I love that color of Madtosh sock! My birthday was just last week, and I received a skein in Copper Penny... I think they would look smashing together in Emily Johnson's Garden Gate stockings! Maybe you should keep the yarn for yourself and make them! :)

Wow! What a terrific birthday give-away. As a fellow gemini (birthday on June 8th), I wish you a most happy day! Would love to win. I've been putting off learning to do socks (is there such a thing as sock-phobia?!) and this would definitely make me do it!

I bought an entire book of sock patterns about a year ago with the intention of diving right into it. Then I started looking at the patterns and lost my nerve to dive into a project. And, the book went back on the shelve. >.<
