Hello lovely people. How are you today? I'm nearly fully functional, if a bit scatter brained- per usual. Without the structure of monthly, self-imposed project goals, I feel I'm experiencing some knitting project ADD. I have numerous projects in progress, in varying degrees of completeness.  I'm like a rubber ball on a staircase bouncing between them.
Picture
The latest project to join the parade is this _______. It's somewhat secret for the time-being. Any guesses what it might be?

As intended, I devoted a large chunk of Monday to sewing my Hollyburn. I'm down to the hand-finishing already!  At some point this week (hopefully), I'll get that waistband fully secured, add the buttons to the tabs, and finish the hem. I didn't make it to the blouse, but I did get the fabric pre-washed, so it's ready whenever I feel inspired to start.

Then, there's the Fargo sweater I started. It needs another sleeve and some seaming. But, it's close.

I haven't stopped progress on my Oolong. Though, things have slowed to a crawl now that I'm seaming all those little stitches. Is it strange that I'm enjoying seaming this? It was a conscious choice to modify the pattern from its seamless, raglan design to a fully pieced, flat knitting project, but I didn't expect to find pleasure in the tedious act of mattress stitching a fingering weight sweater. Weird.  I have one sleeve and the raglan remaining before I can pick-up and knit the collar.
Picture
Additionally, I have started sweaters for Dulce and Danger. They weren't excited about having to go outside naked yesterday while it was -2F.  I think that's it. I'm probably missing something(s). What are you working on this week?

The purple fabric was beautiful before, but it's even prettier as a skirt!

Are you making a hat? Love the two colors together.

Your skirt is SO PRETTY! As for seaming, ever since I learned to do it correctly, I've started undoing my past sweaters and redoing them the right way. There's something really meditative about it.

oh, I really like yor hollyburn! the fabric drapes really nicely. you have so many knitting projects going on! is it because i am such a beginner that i only have one at the time? or am i just weird in the knitting world? everybody seems to have lots of projects on their needles.

Wow, you've got a lot going on! I'm quite intrigued by the idea of consciously modifying a pattern to make it NOT seamless. I've constantly been doing the opposite...
Did you write about why you chose to do that? Or will you? I'd love to hear...

I'm so happy to see the pink and green together! This is one of my favorite combos - no matter how 80's preppy it may be! I loved it then and I love it now! It just so happens that I have yarn in those colors just waiting to become - something! I'm thinking a wrap,
Your sewing projects are adorable and make me feel like I need to spend more time with my machine. If we can add more hours to the day then maybe...

Lovely WIPS! The Fargo sweater is especially pretty, I'm such a sucker for cables. I'm guessing that the mystery project is either a hat or a child's sweater?

So many pretty projects in one post! Love how the skirt is looking in that gorgeous purple. Both sweaters are looking great as well, although the thought of seaming a fingering weight sweater breaks me out in hives :)
