I'm both a little nervous and excited to take part in Me-Made-May'13. This will be the only Me-Made, Self-Stitched challenge of the year, so I want to make sure I commit fully to participation. It's also my first time accepting this challenge, so I want to push myself to complete the month successfully. As this is a self-determined conquest, I've decided to challenge myself as follows:
I, Michelle of Tres Bien Ensemble, sign up as a participant of Me-Made-May '13. I endeavor to wear at least one Me-Made item of clothing each day for the duration of May 2013 and document my participation by photographing my efforts daily.
Eeep! It might be a little over-ambitious. I'm starting to doubt myself already as I read the self-imposed challenges of other more accomplished sewers and past participants. But, heck, I'm going for it. Promise you won't judge me too harshly if I end up wearing the same thing every day for a month?

Are you diving in? What sort of goals are you setting for the next month?

I'm still contemplating taking part... I'll have to get cracking on making the decision! I haven't been making my own stuff for long enough so I'm not sure I'll be able to do it daily. Maybe I can challenge myself to wear self stitched stuff twice a week this year and aim higher for next year :)

Sounds like a fun challenge! I'd need a few more years to stock up on hand-made items or else I'd get bored with my stuff real quick, I think. Looking forward to your photos!

Every year I think I'd like to participate and every year I realise that the wardrobe is far to bare...same dress every day, anyone! It's given me the kick up the bum to actually get some stuff going for myself. I can't wait to see your outfits.

Wow, what a challenge! It is demanding having to make something everyday, but I'd imagine it would set your imagination free in the most wonderful way. Think of how accomplished you'll feel! I know you can do it, you are of the best seamstresses I know.

What a brilliant idea! I wear handmade socks almost exclusively and I have a few scarves but this sounds like a much larger undertaking. I look forward to seeing what you wear.

I've never heard of this before, what a brilliant idea. I look forward to seeing the pictures. I would love to do this with my hand knits but I haven't got enough to last me a month, if my 100 project knitathon starts picking up pace I might have enough to join in next year though.

I'd be wearing wool socks. every day. in May. in Texas. :) .....but that sounds like fun! I can't wait to see your outfits. I always admire your style. You can do it!

My latest big plan is to plant a bunch of bluebonnets around some paver stones so I have a nice spot to take pictures next year without worrying about fire ants or smashing flowers.

This is the first time I have heard of this. If I knew the month of May was going to be cold enough to wear wool socks every day this would be an easy one for me. It is a great idea!

Hi Michelle, I've nominated you for a Liebster Award. You may have already been nominated before and possibly you have more than 200 followers but I love reading your blog and wanted to give something back :)

This has been a daily battle for me on whether I COULD do it. I just started sewing for myself and am afraid I do not have enough to accomplish it! I am always back and forth making things for those girls of mine! I do have about 6 tops of my own- and 7 pairs of me made panties! (haha) ... I will decide by the 30th I suppose! OH! And the picture taking! Gosh, I have things I still haven't photographed but I suppose one of those girlies of mine could snap a daily iPhone pic... (does that mean I'd have to brush my hair EVERY DAY?!) ~Laurie
